It's not the blowing up of the planet that you should be worried  
about, it's the deforestation, the pollution of rivers and seas, the  
uncontrolled exploitation of other natural resources… the gradual  
bleeding of the planet dry and the simultaneous poisoning of it, in  
other words.

Somebody in this discussion commented that technology would destroy  
us. No, technology won't destroy  us, but use of technology for the  
wrong purposes might well do so. It's greed that will be the culprit.
