[NTLK] Notes/Works with Images - How to get it off the Newton?

I am wondering I have been searching the archives but haven't found an
answer yet - what is the best way to export notes off of a Newton containing
images to your Mac or PC?

I have tried Works files/Notes files and have not found a solution yet -
does email do the trick - NCX didn't seem to carry over the image parts of
the notes.

Any ideas
