Alright, so I decided to try and get NCU working again while I wait for
my $4.00 prolific usb->serial converter to arrive. I am running a
slowdown program that allows you to specify a percentage to slow down a
particular program. Using 1-5% allows me to transfer notes just fine,
but I still get a communications error (-1) whenever I try to export
works files. It gets to the point where it asks me what works files to
export, and while I'm choosing, the newton says "waiting for a
response...". I then choose the file I want, hit export, and that's when
the communication error happens. Has anyone seen this before?

Yeh, admirable how you are able to regulate that.

You know as "high tech and advanced" as the Newton OS was often toated, and I agreed with that, my big beef was the transfer speeds with other devices.   15 minutes to transfer a 4mb mp3 over a direct network link?   Please!!
