Yes but you should check the archives regarding this. The speed boost
is achieved through replacing the stock crystal with a 5mghz crystal.
And as I recall this is the fastest stable speed increase. And even
at this speed some 2x00s and eMate 300s are slightly unstable than
others. Unless you damage one of the circuit board traces there would
be no reason to solder to any components on the logic board.
Thin wires can be purchased or salvaged from dead devices......A
turntable tone arm perhaps.
