Welcome back! It's just like home.

First, no SSL.

The next thing I try: Configure another mail client, first. Try configuring Thunderbird for the PC or, Thunderbird for the Mac. Set up the servers without SSL. These newer mail clients can return (to you) more detailed information about the error(s) you are experiencing.

Once you have successfully set up the PC, try to use those same settings on your Newton. At this point, you can tell whether or not your servers will work without SSL or what ports you may need to change to, for proper relaying and authentication.

Yahoo still has some non-SSL servers.

Cyberdog running under OpenDoc.
