for starters, the iPen is a separate active digitizer - the PressurePen is essentially like a standard stylus with the addition of pressure sensitivity.

as i understand it, the iPen doesn't have any pressure sensitivity, just higher precision than other styli since it has a separate means of registering its location. 

there are two other pressure sensing styli out there, though:

the main difference, as i see it, is that mine will be considerably less expensive, and open source hardware.
