Ah, the Cube. I remember some the upgrades sold to handle more power. There were higher capacity VRMs, low profile heat sinks for dual CPU cards, fan mods, and a lot more. I had forgotten about the VRM bypass mod. Your memory is better than mine. I only remember NewerTech every getting their 7448 G4 to market. Sadly I couldn't wait long enough for the 7448 to be released and bought a dual 1.8GHz 7447A from GigaDesigns back in 2007 for my QuickSilver. These days the system is down clocked to 1.6GHz for stability and acts has my storage server.
Technical Question: DId the 7448 require a firmware update like the 7447 processors?
