[NTLK] Has anyone tried NiZN batteries?

I'd never heard of them, but I just stumbled across Nickle-Zinc rechargables. Apparently they suffer the same self-discharge problems as NiMH cells, but - and this is a big but - a NiZn AA is 1.6 volts , instead of the 1.2 of a NiMH/NiCad.

Has anyone tried these in a Newton? In a battery tray - I don't think the Newton's internal charger could handle NiZn at all. (For one, you're only supposed to quick-charge them, never trickle charge.)
