Hello Raúl,
Would a 1.42 ghz sonnet card for a G4 digital audio work?

The reason I'll also buy a tower CPU is because is possible to add the VRM bypass to a tower CPU by desoldering a few resistors on the PCB and adding the necessary wiring. So, even if the processor card isn't officially compatible with the G4 Cube, all 7448 upgrades for Sawtooth, Gigabit Ethernet, Digital Audio or Quicksilver PowerMac G4 should work after the hardware tweaking.

>> Ah, the Cube. I remember some the upgrades sold to handle more power. There were higher capacity VRMs, low profile heat sinks for dual CPU cards, fan mods, and a lot more. I had forgotten about the VRM bypass mod. Your memory is better than mine. I only remember NewerTech every getting their 7448 G4 to market. Sadly I couldn't wait long enough for the 7448 to be released and bought a dual 1.8GHz 7447A from GigaDesigns back in 2007 for my QuickSilver. These days the system is down clocked to 1.6GHz for stability and acts has my storage server.
