[NTLK] Linking on Newton

Hi there, I have a (kind of basic) question about ‚Linking‘ on the Newton.
It’s mentioned quite often and I’m fascinated by it but I‘m actually confused on how to do it.
I use a MP 2100 running ROM-Version „D-2.1“. How can I link things together (for example Appointments with Notes I‘ve taken)? There is no link-feature within the action-menu.
