Sylvain reported that he was disappointed with white backlights.

When you look at the basic curve for brightness sensitivity of the
human eye based on wavelength (or color) of light:

it's the green receptors in the human eye that end up in the sweet
spot; green backlights are best. The Newton team got that one right
all these years ago.
