I just bought a set of NiMh cells and charger. I charged up the cells and
put them in the the alky tray and gave 'em whirl. I didn't do any rigorous
testing but they didn't seem to last as long as the NiMh battery pack. Only
further experience will tell for sure. I had my choice of either Panasonic,
one other name brand or a german generic brand at the time. Each brand
seemed to also offer two types, a 1200mAh and a 1400mAh type. I got the
generic 1400mAh which was significantly cheaper than the name brands. Could
be that the name brand is better? I don't know. Could also be that the
charger doesn't do as good a job as the internal charger? I did buy the
best charger I could though, as far as I could tell from the hype on the
packages. It's never easy is it?

Just got a 2100. I've had a 100, 130, and 2000 in the past but
skipped to a Palm Pilot 2 years ago but whow do I love the 2100 there
is no comparison between the two apart from size. Anyway to my point
on logo's, the logo on my 2100 is not scratched but the paint is
missing in part of the green, looks like a factory defect, does
anyone know where I might get a replacement?
Another question doe's anyone use NiMh AA batteries in the original
battery carrier. If so are they just as effective as the factory NiMh
battery pack?
And finally (promise) does NCU work well with Claris Organiser? One
of the things I miss about the Palm is synching with Palm Desktop
(Claris Organiser rebadged).
