Sounds like someone's doing the Appalatian Trail? I would think you could MAKE
one kind of easily. After all, an acoustic coupler is just another headset
basically. Just take apart a cheap phone and rip out the speakers and mic,
fashion some way to connect it to the phone and keep out noise, and patch the
cables into your modem.

maybe that's too simple. What's wrong with this? I'm sure I'm missing
something...
