Re: NTLK Resetting Newton

Robert, Once again thanks for the effort.

Yes I have the latest system update installed and, in
fact, I am now fairly convinced that the problem comes
from a bad package or system soup on my 2meg Apple
memory card (which has an old partial backup on it as
well as a number of packages).

After doing a soft reset I loaded the card with the
packages not activated and lo and behold my Newt
seemed to be (almost) back to its old self (why I
never tried this before over the past 3 months I do
not know!). However, It still seems to not want to
wake from sleep properaly 100% of the time - so I am
still not sure if I have really found the cause of my
problems.

I guess that I will do a good backup and erase the
contents of my card then only restoring the packages I
am sure of. On the other hand I am still very
interested in knowing whether there is some software
out there related to this problem which might hel.

Thanks
Stephen Beesley
