There were a few companies that made an offer to buy the Newton assets.
Apple didn't even bother to reply. So, you will have to be very persuasive.
Sorry, but all the people that have been here since the Newton's demise have
seen all those attempts failing one after the other. Apple is pretty
stubborn in those kind of things. I don't want to seem cynical or hard on
you, but after all those years, we know that Apple won't budge an inch.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but I think you should know what to expect if
you decide to go ahead with that project, so you'll be at least better
prepared.
