Correct with a minor exception. The Port available for Yom site G3 Yikes G4
Saw tooth G4 and Any Cube will allow local talk. These are easy to find +/-
$30.00

It used your 56k modem internal port though. Another downside for some.

Oh and yet one MORE thing.

Appletalk will not cross keyspan or other USB<-> serial adapter, so at work
I was doubly stuck- USB only G3, and the aforementioned sysadmin wrath
should I try to play with NAT.

You'll need a Real Serial Mac to do this (and it really should be pretty
easy, despite all the confusion :)
