Did you hear the tones that sound when the firmware has been updated?
Do you have a System CD that you can boot from in order get the system
running so can examine what is on the HD?
Mac OS 8-9 of any flavour will do.
Having an Non-Mac keyboard might not be helping matters because the Rev A
was a bit touchy about these things. Have you tried booting with only a
mouse?
