I get the same problem with mine if I enable WEP. It works flawlessly with
WEP off, however. Could this be an incompatiblity from 40-bit and 64-bit
WEP?

Another issue I found recently is if you have the Airport configured on the
final tab for any form of access control (I guess unless you know your
card's MAC address) it will not connect either. Turn this off and it works
flawlessly. Hope this helps.
