[NTLK] Escale A connection error has Occurred (28009)

Is anyone using Escale to sync their Newton? I have a MP 2000 and a B/W G3,
 and every time I try to sync I get the following error on the Newton:

"A connection error has Occurred (28009)"

and Escale just locks up.

I also get the same error when I install packages with Escale, but the
 the package does get installed.

I have Escale V1.0.1, Mac OS X 10.3.3 and Newton OS version 2.1 (717260)

Anyone have any clue as to what the problem is?
