Depends, usually ferdi will add a small line that says 'item for auction
is similar to item pictured' and/or 'item is not the one pictured but a
like one', those were the main problems I had about the 'speed-up Newts'
he was selling, the switch he added to speed-up/slow-down the Newt. was
a RIPOFF description of what Tek-Ed did to his own speed-up Newt. and
did it for less than US$10.00.
So the auctions had blurry pics. and always stated 'item shipped is like
the one pictured', funny thing is other auctions by him were
picture-sharp, another funny thing is he stole pics from other
websites(like from NuShields and from another business site, it's in the
archive).
If the auction didn't have all those 'stipulations' and you over paid
then you just might get a nice Newt... BUT make sure it's all there,
check on this list if it's ok, and look inside to make sure it's all ok,
just a precaution you should take with all purchases that do not have a
THIRD-PARTY VERIFIED warrenty.
Some buyers on NTLK have had some good purchases, but only a very few.
I even asked ferdi to clean up his auctions, but he said he had enough
sales to maintain his MO.
Good luck! Hope you get a good one.
