An odd fix that worked for me was to switch to using landscape mode (which I've now come
to prefer anyway in most situations). Previously severe jaggies never came back after
that. I guess it had something to do with where the pressure of my hand was while
holding the Newt. Obviously, YMMV, but at least you can try it for almost zero effort.
