You have to be aware of the voltage requirements of the card as well.

5v & 16 bit, then you need to reference the wireless driver list. Just
because the card is 5v & 16 bit doesn't mean that the chipset is
supported... Go to the wiki link at the bottom of every message.

I suspect you mean bit width rather than bit rate.

The Newton uses PCMCIA, which is 16 bit. Anything that's 32 bit is actually
cardbus. Looks nearly the same, and a computer can accept both Cardbus and
PCMCIA.

However, Cardbus cards will _not_ work in the Newton. They're actually tiny
PCI cards, and the Newton doesn't have PCI.

Cardbus cards have bit of gold colored metal by the connector - it's
actually a thin gold layer. That's usually the easiest way to check a card.
Do be aware that, if you're ordering online, the picture in the web store
may not match the actual item you get.

So, 32 bit cards will _never_ work in a Neweton. 16 bit cards, depends on
the card. Somebody else can give you better advice on specific cards...
