| Ah, OK! But, then, why this single preference in any book? Just to let
| you know what resolution the book was made? If so, it's a bit confusing,
| since it looks a lot more like it is inviting you to pick a resolution.
I don't know.
| I've discovered that Newton books are much more like documents, even if
| each one has its own icon in Extras. Whenever you're opening a book, the
| same application is used to display it.
Correct: the Newton Book reader built into the ROM.
| Methinks then that the book is not more than a stream of text, along with
| some pictures.
Well, it is more than a stream of text along with some pictures. It is
formatted pages of formatted text. The "Book" name is very accurate.
Pages in a Newton Book are exactly like pages in a printed book. Even if
the printed book came from a Word document, you cannot change the
formatting of the printed book without going back to the source and
reformatting it there and then reprinting.
Now, a Paperback book is just a stream of text, which is why you can do
things like change faces on the fly.
