The only time a choice appears in a NewtonBook for Display is under the 2-UP
formats for the MP2x00 and the eMate. And precisely because of what Rat
(...what do I call you?!?) says, the 1-Up choice is exactly half the size of
the 2-Up - the Newton is simply displaying two of the pre-formatted pages at
once. The option to choose would have been a really nice feature, but
NewtonPress had so many other problems I imagine the display
choice/on-the-fly reformat never made it to the top of developers'
to-do-list.
