If I remember correctly, the original question dealt with connecting a
Newton to a Pismo.

First, get an ETHERNET CARD. Forget this dongle, USB adapter, slow serial
connection stuff.

Second, go to http://www.tempel.org/newton/ and download Thomas Tempelmann's
Newton Data Browser. It allows you to install software (aka ethernet
drivers) to your Newton via IR.

No dongle. Just speed.
