You want to know what makes the Newton and the Palm
such enjoyable products to use? It's the OS! It's
quick, small and performs all the functions needed!
(granted, the Palm performs fewer functions, but
that's it's niche)
Mac OSX on a palm size platform would probably be
neither! Talk about your bloatware! With the Newton,
there is no complexity! Turn it on and it works.
There's no OS to load, no complicated file structure,
nothing. Just pure joy! That's one of the reasons I
don't have a Pocket PC...I don't want to curse at my
handheld! The last thing I want is a duplicate of my
desktop sitting in my pocket.
