Try adding the 'Internal RAM' Upgrade to your eMate.
Try a faster modem, up to 56 Kps.
Try closing other apps. you're not using.
eMate's CPU runs at 25-Mhz., MP2x00's CPU runs at 162-220 Mhz.

Check the above and see if it helps.
I download 200+ emails a day, I hit at least three websites a day via Nethopper and/or Newtscape, alot more if I'm traveling.
