I've had not a single crash with NP1.1 and OS9.1 despite some extensive use
on large (1000+ page) documents. I always try to use the simplest input --
only dumb text files, avoid illustrations if possible -- but that may be
over cautious.

Maybe it's one of those intriguing extension conflicts that you can waste
your entire life tracking down?
