Yes and no.
The SER-001 connects to the same internal signals that are
used for the serial connections on the interconnect port.
It is, in effect, in parallel with the existing port.
So, while it is possible to connect 2 keyboards at once,
one to the NI port and one to the SER-001, it has nothing
but novelty value.
It does work though!
If you were to try connecting two different serial signals
at the same time it will get confused. No harm will befall
the Newton if you try this as both sets of signals are buffered,
but strange things will happen or it will just not respond.
