Remember, though, that's not always a function of all the extra crud on the
site. The site you're accessing may just be receiving too many hits for its
available bandwidth. Especially since, at least on my cable modem, I've
seen almost no reduction in activity since shortly after Code Red/NIMDA hit.
I don't know how badly this impacts my web browsing, but it sure is
irritating, if nothing else.
