Ok -- now that I'm reading the driver stuff, I'm just starting to get
interested in this wireless stuff. I have a few questions:
1. I don't run a Mac. Can I do anything? If I get one of those Airport base
stations -- can I use it with my Wintel-based LAN? (In other words, does the
base station do all the work -- or does it need to talk to a Mac or something
else to be configured and such -- or even to route traffic?)
2. Anyone know if the new driver works with the C card (012372/C)?
3. Are there cheaper base stations out there? In other words, can I pretty
much get any wireless base station that the WaveLAN cards will talk to? Or is
there something special about the Airport stations needed by the Newton?
Appletalk support maybe?
