That's not true, you just never noticed it before. CAREFULLY check
your credit card rules. AFAIK both VISA and Mastercard now tack on a
1-1.5 per cent charge for overseas transactions.
I only noticed it when I was reconciling my account - via Quicken -
and noticed a small amount of difference. It was a line item I'd
never seen before. Called my CC company, and they let the surprise
out of the bag. Grrr.
