It also keeps the lines from getting too long. Any line of text over 6-8
words gets fatiguing on the eyes, and tires out your mind faster. A lot of
Newton books, with crunched text on a 2100 screen are just too difficult to
read for that reason only. The universal size prevents that. :-)
BTW, for your web page designers, make sure your web page text doesn't get
too wide either. I've seen several pages recently that allowed text to flow
from one edge of the window to the other. On a 1024 pixel wide screen,
that's too wide. The width ought to be limited somehow...
(sorry for ranting, but it has happened to me just too much recently...)
