Check the archive, I believe it has been discussed several times in the
past and the conclusion has always been that it would not be worth the work
involved. The problems include fitting the 2x00 boards into the eMate case,
getting the keyboard to work (there are major differences AFAIK),
retrofitting the 2x00 screen into the eMate case, and finding a way to make
the PCMCIA slot work (you'd probably be limited by design to one instead of
the two in the 2x00).
So, it's probably possible to to make the swap, but in the same way it's
possible to swap the engine and drive train of a Hummer into a Jaguar XKE
(without changing the body lines).
If you want the closest thing with less pain, get the Newton keyboard
and one of those cases that lets you turn the Newt into a semi-laptop.
