Re: [NTLK] problem syncing Newton with Palm

Yes, I am dumb as a stump today. Or in need of more Starbucks than usual.

Obviously in my previous post I listed a memory configuration that
far exceeded what was on my system (96MB) in trying to allocate more
memory to Palm Desktop, NCU, and COrgAE2. I allocated not only all
the memory on my system, but on all Macs within a four-mile radius.
Unfortunately I kept upping the memory beyond reason because
*nothing* was working at lower memory configurations (like 6000K per
application, as Darrell kindly suggested to me off-list). I tinkered
with different (and lower) memory allocations for well over an hour
and the Palm/Newton synchronization still won't work. I feel like I'm
back on square one on trying to make something that should be simple
work, and it just feels awfully difficult.

Would one solution be to junk Palm Desktop and find an old copy of
Claris Organizer, presumably v2?

I like my 2100, but today I'm thinking I'm better off with my Visor
Deluxe for my calendar/to do list and a fountain pen and notebook for
notes. :-(

Depressedly,
Jeff
