Still working off and on with my new to me 2100. I have had power
problems with it from the beginning. Not sure if it is normal, or a
problem or something I am doing.

After getting the 2100, the first order of business was getting a
power source. It did NOT come with a power supply, battery or battery
tray. I got a battery tray and stuck in some new alkalines and got it
to power up and then it stopped working. I went tot he FAQ and
learned how to do a reset. It solved the problem. I then had it on
and used it most of a morning and it the batteries seemed fine. Then
it refused to power on and again I had to do a reset.

All seemed fine although I wasn't using it much. I finally got a
power adapter and in checking it out it shut off and refused to start
again until I reset the unit. The one specific action I remember that
may or may not have contributed to this event was pulling the battery
tray while the power adapter was plugged in and the unit turned on.
The batteries at the time were still reading around 50% if that makes
a difference.

Also if it makes a difference, my card configuration is a modem card
in the top slot (just a filler for the time being) and a blank card
as filler on the bottom slot.

It won't make a difference to my commitment to the 2100 but I am
wondering - are such resets fairly common? Anything I should be
concerned about?
