You need to erase everything on the Newt first.
Since the 120 has a backup battery, you need to remove this for a while and
reinstallit.
If you open the battery compartment, remove the battery pack and you will
see the lithium battery backup cell. Remove it and leave the Newt for an
hour or so, then reinstall the backup battery and the battery pack and start
your Newt.
It should now come up pretty clean with the initialisation dialogue,
performing the pen calibration and asking for your name and personal
information.
