Oh, pul-eaze.

- there was NOTHING firm about that price. The email said "don't quote
me on this price, price is not determined". He was going to have to
check with decision makers at his corp. Who may check ebay or reseller
prices, who may not. We shall see.

- any person that has been on this list for ANY length of time knows
about how much a 2100 sells for. The poster has been on this list for
a while. It would be nice if he could get them out to list members for
a nice price. From his post, it seems like he will do so if he can.
WE DON"T KNOW YET. And if selling used stuff is indeed a core part of
his business, 1) he's smart enough to see what market rates are 2) why
do you want to take advantage of a lister?

If it makes you feel better, you can go ahead and feel that people
posting prices on the list, as they have for years, screwed you
personally out of a (vaporware) $50 messagepad, though. Be my guest.
We create our own realities.

In my reality, deals like that always get glommed by someone with spare
thousands to spend and they sell them at 300%-500% markup, and we never
see them cheap (Robert commented that $50 each was too much $ to expect
if someone bought them in bulk...say [-(30x1400-90x1400)] = we don't
get to see prices like that, some reseller with a lot of money to put
into inventory costs, usually does. Posts here aren't going to change
that either way.
