To build the containers under windows, the map files
have to be in BMP format and you have to use GetBmpAsBits
(for B&W) or BuildPictureViewSlot (for up to 8-bit)
images. The demos appear not to ship with BMP copies of
the maps, so they won't compile under windows. See pages
27 and 28 of the MapPrep file for better instructions.
This doesn't imply that I know what I'm doing or have
built a container under windows - I got noth'n but Macs
here.
