Well not the NuShields themselves, but if you don't do a good job of
cleaning out the cruft under the bezel when you install a screen
protector the combination of cruft+protector could conceivably put too
much pressure on the digitising surface, causing digitising anomolies.
Careful use of screen protectors such as NuShields should prevent much
cruft from building up under the bezel in the first place, but you would
be well advised to spend a bit of time cleaning up when replacing them
or things could get worse rather than better as gunk gets pushed further
in under the bezel.

Of course taking the top off is a very effective way of cleaning this
all up.
