The iMac G5 has the transformer built-in. Apple provides a nice
downloadable picture of the iMac with the back off. You can see the
transformer at the bottom.
Yes the cube has a separate power brick -- big one.
As for the TAM, I like to think that my TAM has a big Base Module for
sound. :-)
But yes, the Base Unit contains the base speaker and amp, plus the
power supply.
