It was tough going there for a while...started to get
the shakes...going cold-turkey without a webserver for
so long! Would you believe that I got so desperate
that I went so far as to install Apache on my XP
laptop? sheesh! I'm glad I got my real web server back
online (those who know me, know I'm a Microsoft
advocate, and thouroughly enjoy IIS!)
and so, you guessed it...http://newton.tek-ed.com is
back online! My books, applications and my LOTR
download is all there for the taking.
Be gentle though...that server certainly didn't want
to stay started...a bad cable caused lots of hair
pulling! The site as it sits currently is from July of
last year. My most recent backup is of November and a
friend at my old company said he can get a more
currrent site off of the server they took down! So,
while I go through and figure out what's missing, feel
free to rummage through my site and try downloading a
package or two...and don't worry about the
bandwidth...my ISP says I have an open 100mbps
pipe...fiber in the basement is sweet!
