on a related topic, what is the status of an iSync plugin for the
Newton? wasn't it in the recent past that some posts on here were
discussing Apple's decision to make writing plugins easier and more
accesible?

NewtSync doesn't work nearly well enough for me to rely on; maybe some
other folks have had better experiences.
