[NTLK] Future Apple PDA/ideal Newton

Hi all,

Here's what I'd like to be toting around in the (preferably near)
future:

An iTunes cellphone for:
--making phone calls, obviously
--listening to books on tape (and sometimes music, and maybe NPR) while
I walk my dog
--connecting to the Internet on my new Newton if I can't find a HotSpot

An Apple PDA for:
--taking notes (HWR and keyboard)--with StickyNewts syncable to
StickyBrain, perhaps?
--typing documents that I can send to MS Office
--making entries in a DB that I can sent to FileMaker
--downloading photos from my digital camera (directly or via memory
card or via computer)
so I can carry around photos of my dog, in particular
--accessing my email and the Web at high-speed
--making voice recordings
--keeping my names and dates handy (syncable with Address Book and iCal)
--keeping grocery lists that I can sync with my recipe software
--eventually, playing DVDs

What I want, essentially, is a mini-laptop/notepad combo. A slightly
thinner but sturdy
version of my 2100, with either a clip-on keyboard or a slip-in docking
station, not
too unlike the eMate case. For a clip-on keyboard, a nice carrying case
with
a better propping set-up than the old cases had. And maybe a cellphone
pocket
on the outside....

Swiss Army knives come in many configurations--I'll never need the
golfing or hunting
versions, but someone must buy them. On the other hand, the nail file
and tweezers
are close to useless. The New Newton could also come in several
varieties, at least
eventually.

It's fun to dream, isn't it?

Melissa
