Thanks for the reply! I'm using NiMH cells, having
followed Frank Gruendel's excellent instructions
(thanks, Frank!). The reason I reference NiCad's is
not because I use them, but because I am wondering if
NiMh's can exhibit the same "memory effects" that
NiCad's used to exhibit (and which I understand new
NiMh's and NiCad's don't exhibit.)

I'm a little nervous about dremeling in my Newton! But
sounds like you did it quite successfully!
