Amit Singh at kernelthread figured out how to hack the Sudden Motion
Sensor (SMS accelerometer) and as far as I know he's still the leader
in hacking it. He's now figured out how to get a current PowerBook to
output video in portrait mode based on the configuration input it
gets from the SMS.

But you'll need newer hardware for this. Any of the later iBook or
PowerBook models will work.
