I have no troubles to synchronize to my eMate on a Mac OS 7.5.5
enviroment using Basilisk II under UbuntuLinux. It has an issue that
sometimes it doesn't close completely the serial port and then hangs the
emulator, but I just reconnect the eMate and awakes again.
I ask you the same that Matt; are you using Sheepshaver or Basilisk?
under which platform (windows, MacOSX, GNU/Linux, other -specify-).
Otherwise I can only provide you basic tips: download the latest version
of basilisk II for your platform, remember that basilisk II needs a Mac
ROM apart from the disk image, use a Quadra ROM whenever possible (I
tried with my LCII Rom and it was terrible; fortunately I had a friend
with a Quadra -she wanted to trash the computer! the fool...-). Be sure
you assigned enough memory thru the emulator (the linux version defaults
at 4 mb... definitely not enough).
Optionally, contact me offlist and I will try to provide you a
step-by-step guide... unless you have Mac OS X, as I -still- can't
afford to purchase one, and thus, I won't be of much use (envy is a very
bad thing ;) ).
