It's definitely not an easy process, by any measure. It took me
several hours of Googling and experimentation to get it to work at all.

I've never tried it, but I think the process would be pretty
similar. Only one command should change. Instead of running the PPP
server on the Bluetooth-PDA-sync port, you'd have to run it on the
Keyspan serial port instead. Everything else would be the same, I
think.
So, the short answer is no, I don't think it would be any easier. :)
It would be a nice feature to put into NewTen or any other Newton
connectivity utilities that are developed. Just a couple of buttons:
Share [airport/ethernet] connection to [bluetooth/serial] port.
Start / Stop.
Can anyone buy me a few more hours in a day? :)
