Hey Marty,
I would suggest that you consider doing the Battery Tray Modification so
that when those NiMH you use in your Newton are going close to flat you can
just exchange them for a new set of high capacity AA NiMH Cells - of course
as long as they are not too much larger in diameter than the Originals.
(Most people are not going to do this but it should be considered as it's a
waste of time to recell a pack in the end IMO since you have to re-open them
later to do it again. Unless however you use a convertible version which
leaves access. Just my thoughts...
Batteries are disposable/recyclable. This is a sad fact of all of

Hey then, where are the depleted older AA NiMH suppose to be disposed at?
I haven't heard of a place to dispose them at and if I knew of a proper
place I'd give it my best effort to do so....
