I used a different brand data/fax modem with the x-jack, and while I
don't recall needing drivers, I think I did have to tell the In/Out box
to use the PC-card slot instead of the dongle for its faxing. Both are
serial devices I believe, and the interconnect port is the default for
just about everything.

I've noticed that in general if the newton recognizes the card (type),
the drivers are installed.

It's been a while though.
